For Christmas 2018, Stephensons have chosen to stock and encourage the use of Duni’s new ‘Spirit of Christmas’ cracker.
The innovative cracker is part of Duni’s ecoecho range, and as such has been created in a sustainable manner, resulting in Christmas crackers that are 100% plastic free, recyclable and FSC certified. In fact, every single material used is sustainably obtained and traceable through to its source.
As well as being an eco-conscious way to reduce unnecessary single plastic use during the busy festive period, The Spirit of Christmas Cracker will also help to deliver support to vulnerable people across the UK. At least seven percent from the sale of each box of crackers will go to the charity Shelter, an organisation that tirelessly provides care and guidance to thousands of people struggling with housing issues and homelessness.
Commenting on the cracker, Andy Harris, Director of Fundraising at Shelter, said: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Duni this Christmas. The funds raised via the sale of these innovative new crackers will support the work we do to help people struggling with bad housing and homelessness across the UK, at a time of the year that is especially difficult for those who find themselves in need of our support.”
Adding to this, Henry Stephenson (Managing Director at H.G. Stephenson’s) has been very happy with the adoption of the ecoecho crackers. Commenting on their credentials, he said, “ With so much attention placed on the excessive consumption in the hospitality industry, this cracker is a remarkable product that allows us to keep our quaint festive tradition of pulling crackers, but in a much more sustainable manner”.
Essentially, these crackers are a way to reduce waste, keep a festive tradition alive and importantly, give something back to those that need it. After all, isn’t that the spirit of christmas?Buy the spirit of christmas cracker now!
