Former Caterbar Executive Officer, Brian Moore, received a Special Recognition Award during the Caterbar 20th year celebrations. Churchill received the Overall Winner Award, Artis won the Innovation Award, Beaumont won the Tabletop & Bar Award and SCA Hygiene won the Hygiene Award.
The 20th Caterbar Anniversary Awards saw the UK’s top independent catering equipment and janitorial distributors celebrate 20 years of Caterbar. Stephensons, a founding member of Caterbar, were delighted to take part in the celebrations and commended fellow members and suppliers.
Most significant was the Special Recognition Award for long time industry favourite, Brian Moore, who has now retired. Brian was presented his award by Michael Stephenson.
Brian worked as the Executive Officer for Caterbar from 2005 and oversaw a great deal of change during that time.
Henry Stephenson, Managing Director of Stephensons and Caterbar Director, said, “Brian originally worked in an administrative role for both Stephensons and Caterbar before working solely for Caterbar. As our Executive Officer, Brian has overseen a significant increase in the number of Caterbar members and the consortium has flourished during his tenure.
“Brian’s Special Recognition Award has been presented to show just how much we appreciate the work he has done. It seems fitting that during our Caterbar 20th year celebrations we are able to celebrate Brian’s 10 years of Outstanding Service.”
Brian worked in the catering supplies industry for many years, including a role at Ravenhead Glassware, before joining Stephensons and Caterbar. Well known and popular in the industry, we wish Brian a long and happy retirement.
Churchill were presented with the Caterbar Overall Winner Award and were delighted to accept their plate.
Adrian Botterell, UK Sales Director of Churchill China, said, “We are extremely proud to have been named the overall winners of the Caterbar Awards, highlighting our commitment and expertise in our field.
“As a leading supplier of tabletop solutions to the hospitality industry, Churchill is proud to work in partnership with Caterbar. We look forward to a long and prosperous partnership with Caterbar in 2015 and beyond.”
Henry Stephenson said, “Churchill have really made an impact on the industry this year, demonstrating strong market innovation and high levels of service.
“It means a lot for businesses to be celebrated by their peers and it was brilliant to see all of the category winners so proud of their award wins. We look forward to watching our suppliers continue to innovate and drive high industry standards over the coming year.”
Other awards included an Innovation Award for Artis, a Tabletop & Bar Award for Beaumont and a Hygiene Award for SCA Hygiene. Nevilles and Go-Pak received Tabletop & Bar Commendations whilst Greyland Ltd. and Direct Imports UK received Hygiene Commendations.
