Stephensons are able to export orders to certain countries overseas above the value of £500 (ex VAT). Orders below £500 (ex. VAT) can be forwarded to a UK shipper’s address. Alternatively, a collection service is available from our Cash & Carry in Stockport.
Our website is currently set up to only process orders for delivery within the UK; if you require an international quotation including shipping charges, please follow the 3 steps below.
We will do our upmost to ensure timely delivery. However, once goods have left our warehouse we are unable to make guarantees on delivery times as shipping is beyond our control. All courier deliveries are by sea unless otherwise requested.
Please note that Stephensons reserve the right to refuse any order and may pass on any additional charges incurred after the order is placed. Shipping prices are subject to change. All orders must go complete; if time restrictions apply, we will inform you of a suitable alternative product. For specific countries, an additional admin charge will apply but you will be notified before the order is charged. We do not collect returns from International Orders.
Hazards: We are unable to export certain products outside of the EU. For example, chemicals, pressurised containers and flammable products may require special consideration on a country-by-country basis.
Warranties: Any UK warranties quoted in our literature are not applicable to international sales.
Plugs: Please note that voltage and plugs vary depending on country. For more information on plugs, please visit the Wikipedia plugs page.
Delivery within the EU requires your VAT exception number. Alternatively, we can supply you with our EORI number. Shipping costs will be valid for a period of 30 days from the date of quotation.
Import procedures vary depending on the relevant country. As such, we address each delivery outside of the EU on a one-to-one basis. Here are some considerations:
Incoterms: Incoterms refers to pre-defined commercial terms published by the Internation Chamber of Commerce. Incoterms rules are accepted by governments, legal authorities and practitioners worldwide for international trade. These commercial terms identify the allocation of cost between buyers and sellers- in this case you, the buyer, and Stephensons, the seller.
For more information on Incoterms, please visit the Wikipedia Incoterms page.
Customs (HS) Codes: Certain customs require customs codes to monitor goods entering the country and their duty rates. We can provide these codes but additional administration costs will apply.
Certificates of Origin: Certificates of origin may be required for certain countries. We should be able to provide the relevant certificates but additional administration costs will apply.
